Terms of use

The rules for using the free tools on agilelawtools.com.

Last updated: October 11, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and AgileLaw, LLC ("AgileLaw", "we") for the free tools on agilelawtools.com. By uploading a file or downloading output, you accept them. If you use the tools for a firm or organization, you accept them for it and confirm you may do so. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle data.

1. The service

The free tools add exhibit stickers and Bates numbers to PDFs and convert email files to PDF. No account is needed. Each tool shows its free limits, which may change.

2. No legal advice; you check the output

The tools format documents. They don't give legal advice, and they don't guarantee that the output meets any court's, agency's or party's requirements. You are responsible for reviewing the output before you file, serve, produce or rely on it.

3. Your content

You keep all rights in the files you upload. You give AgileLaw a limited license to store and process them only to produce the output you ask for. You confirm you have the right to upload them and that doing so doesn't break any law or obligation.

4. Confidentiality and privilege

Files are encrypted, AgileLaw employees can't open them, and they are deleted 24 hours after upload. You decide whether uploading confidential or privileged material is appropriate for your matter.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • upload malware or content that is unlawful or that you have no right to share;
  • probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the tools, or interfere with them;
  • get around the free limits, the bot check or other protections;
  • use scripts, bots or other automated means to use the tools in bulk;
  • use the tools to send messages to people who haven't asked for them.

We may block access, without notice, to stop any of these.

6. Branding

Exhibit stickers include a small agilelaw.com mark. Bates output carries no branding.

7. Availability and changes

The tools are free and have no uptime commitment. We may change, limit or withdraw any tool at any time.

8. Disclaimer

THE TOOLS AND THEIR OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, AGILELAW WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE TOOLS OR THEIR OUTPUT, AND AGILELAW'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ABOUT THEM WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US $100).

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify AgileLaw against claims by third parties arising from the files you upload or your breach of these terms.

11. Governing law

Texas law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

12. AgileLaw's product

If you sign up for AgileLaw at agilelaw.com, its own terms govern that use.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new date. Using the tools after that means you accept the new version.
