Privacy policy

What we collect on agilelawtools.com, why, how long we keep it, and your choices.

Last updated: October 11, 2026

This policy covers agilelawtools.com (the "free tools"), run by AgileLaw, LLC, 13492 N. Highway 183, Ste 120-145, Austin, TX 78750 ("AgileLaw", "we"). The AgileLaw product at agilelaw.com has its own privacy policy.

What we collect

Files you upload

The PDFs and email files you upload, and the files we make from them. We use them only to produce the output you asked for. They are encrypted at rest with a key that belongs to your visitor record, and AgileLaw employees can't open them. We delete them 24 hours after upload, and delete the records that name them within a further day.

Your visitor record

The first time you use a tool we create an anonymous visitor record and link it to a cookie in your browser, so your files, sets and free limits stay with you. It holds:

  • the email address you give us when you download, and whether you ticked "Send me occasional AgileLaw product news" (with when, and which version of that wording you saw);
  • how you reached us: the page you landed on, the referring page, and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source);
  • counts of what you did: files added and sets made per tool, and simple events such as "tool opened" and "download clicked";
  • for each set you make: the tool, the settings you chose (such as sticker text or the numbering start), the number of files and whether it succeeded, and for email conversions the list of messages in the set;
  • when you were last here, and the choices you made about advertising cookies.

Technical data

Like most websites, our servers record your IP address, browser type and the pages and API calls you request. We use this to run and secure the tools, and to enforce limits (for example, how many visitor records one IP address can create in a day).

Bot protection

Cloudflare Turnstile checks in the background that you are a person, not a bot. Cloudflare processes browser signals for that check only; see its Turnstile privacy addendum.

Advertising cookies

If you allow them, advertising partners set cookies or similar identifiers so they can show you AgileLaw ads on other sites and tell us how those ads perform. The partners, their cookies and how to change your choice are in our Cookie policy. They never receive your files, your email address or the contents of your sets.

Who we share it with

  • Service providers that process data for us under contract: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage and processing, in the United States), Postmark (email delivery) and Cloudflare (bot protection).
  • Advertising partners, only through the advertising cookies described above, and only as your cookie choices allow.
  • Others when required: to comply with law or legal process, to protect our rights or users, or as part of a merger or sale of our business.

Your choices and rights

  • Product news: every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • Advertising cookies: change your choice with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. In the US, use "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information". We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out.
  • Access, correction, deletion and more: depending on where you live (including the EEA, the UK and US states such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and Virginia), you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your data and of targeted advertising. Email info@agilelaw.com. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on your visitor record. An authorized agent may ask on your behalf. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
  • Complaints: in the EEA or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.

US state privacy disclosures

In the last 12 months we have collected identifiers (email address, IP address, cookie identifiers) and internet activity (pages visited and tool usage) from the sources and for the purposes above. When you allow advertising cookies, identifiers and internet activity are made available to our advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, which some state laws call "sharing" or "targeted advertising". We don't knowingly sell or share the data of anyone under 16.

International transfers

We process data in the United States. Where the law requires safeguards for transfers from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on our service providers' data processing terms, which include the Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Read more on our security page.

Children

The free tools are for legal professionals and aren't directed to children.

Changes

We'll post any changes here and update the date at the top.
